My name is Roy Yap

I am a Mechanical Engineer by degree and a Software Developer in Test by training. I’ve always been concerned by human activities impacting nature.
I can see firsthand the impacts of the climate crisis and I truly feel that my calling and purpose in life is to contribute and leave a lasting legacy in the fight against climate change.

Living in the Pacific Northwest, the last three years have seen massive unbearable heat waves resulting in homes now needing heat pumps as standard practice. The heat has also uprooted/damaged native species such as sea barnacles.
